OS platform portability has certainly *not* been stricken off the list. All
of the extant DOS/Win/OS2 code is still in the current CVS archives;
however the new build environment will require GNU make Makefiles adjusted
to work with those operating systems (about a day's work for a good coder
who knows the platform).

That said, I have neither the time, money, or inclination to support those
branches; if somebody else wants to, though, they're more than welcome
to... and I'm willing to help.

Everything which has been added to the package either is not needed with
the legacy platforms, will work with the legacy platforms, or adds features
which are turned off for the legacy platforms (until somebody make's 'em
work)

Cheers,
Wes
