Lee, I had this problem a number of years ago and below is a message
I received in response to my question. As I recall the solution to my
problem was a loose cable.

There are at least three possible problems.
1. Cables not hooked up right.
Make sure Pin 1 on the drive goes to pin 1 on the controller
(usually signified by a red marking on the ribbon connector)
2. No power to drive (Check that it is plugged in)
3. Jumpers set wrong on drive.
Don't play with these until all else fails.
Then post more info on the drive.
4. CMOS type set wrong
5. NO Low Level Format
Try to get a hold of Disk Manager to fix #4 and #5

Hope this helps
