It allows the "hot" comport handle to be handed off to another process 
without terminating the first process.  However, this is hazardous unless you 
know what you are running.  I tried to start up the Dial Other Internet 
Provider (DIOP) program and my BBS received all of the commands.  I use that 
parameter so that I can run DOS based BBS games on my OS/2 based BBS.
