subject: Win95 price

->Just noticed that the Win95 upgrade price has remained at $89 since
looking
->a fall'95 magazine and catalogs as well as stores continue to sell at
hat
->price. You would figure MS would provide some reduction since Win98 is
comi
->in 1st qtr. of 98(maybe). I don't recall ever seeing any great price
reduct
->ever offered for Win95 and compared to much earlier releases there seemed
t
->more competive pricing. just an observation -_-_-Bill
Have you looked at the price of Windows 3.1? They still sell the upgrade
at CompUSA and it's about $50. Microsoft offering the public a break?
Are we talking about the *same* MS? Bill can't compete w/Netscape so he
does the same thing he did with Windows... forces it onto the public
until it becomes the norm. He did not become a as rich as he is by
offering a good product or "price breaks".
