I'm going to have to try that HD install sometime.  So far my CD boots have
revealed the following HW scorecard.

Video - 11 for 11 {at} 10x7x(millions)

NICs - 7 for 7

SCSI controllers - 4 for 4

IDE CDROMs, RWs - 7 for 7

SCSI CDRWs, tape, ZIPs on recognized controllers (automount) - 1 for 5

Soundcards - 1 for 8

Firewire PCI - 0 for 3

USB 1.1 - (untested)

Kernel panics - 0!  Can this be Debian?
