I wasn't told too much about it to know one way or the other but I do know
her and am confident it'll work out as 'good' as those things tend to work

Hm.  That is a tough call from this angle.  For humans that isn't uncommon.
 The trick is that what is in it for him be best for what's in it for all
of them.

Understood.  That seems to be the trend these days.  It occured to me the
other day that I have now been single for more years than I was married not
counting the years I was single before being married.  Overall it seems to
have worked out.
