For those that do, it will cost US$95, which is NOT what I'd call a
bargain, particularly as it's competing with Rockwell's 56k protocol.

As long as you purchase AND register your Courier before December 30, the
x2 upgrade will be free.  Tough luck for existing Courier owners who fail
to register their modems with USR though.

I now wonder if Couriers shipped after that date will have the x2 SDL
factory installed, and if so, will USR be increasing the modem's price
accordingly?
