subject: kludges

Hey All!

Does anyone know how hpt could be configured to strip unwanted and unneeded
kludges put in by gating software, such as email header information?

The reason I ask is that far too many bytes are being propogated into Fido
messages these days that are meaningless to any users and I personally am
concerned about excessive bandwidth. I believe as a nodelisted Fido node I
am under no obligation to propogate any kludges or any other header
information not falling within FTSC standards. Is that true? If so then I
believe stripping those not following standards would not break anything,
legally or morally, would not fall under some silly notion of altering
messages, and greatly reduce unneeded bandwidth.

If this is possible using fidoconfig I would appreciate knowing how it can be done.

Thank you for your kind attention in this most sensitive matter.

Life is good,
Maurice
