  It's been awhile, can you remind me exactly which version modem you
have?  If you could, just post the AT-i3 results.  Are you seeing the
above behavior every time someone drops carrier?  What modem init string
are you using?  Be sure that you are setting &D2 or &D3.  If you are
using &D2, you might try &D3.  Also, what you are seeing could be due to
the modem trying to send buffered data after the caller drops.  Try
setting S38=0 to set the hang up time out to 0.
