My mother is from Oklahoma and makes what many people call the
best pecan pie this side of the Rockies. I'm willing to take
their word for it. Pecans themselves are, imho, gross; corn syrup
is disgustingly sweet. *I* make a pretty good pecan pie, I'm
told, in fact; I just despise the stuff.
