That's essentially how the code I wrote works, but it just writes raw data to the raw device -- this is an incorrect implementation. I actually don't know much about audio programming (outside of voice modems), so I'm not sure when I'll fix that. As for playing MP3s -- that's a fine idea. It will probably sneak in there at some point.
