I had Windows ports sometimes not working the same occasionally. And I had
heard of EMX on OS/2, but I avoided anything UNIX until I started playing with
Linux in late 1995. :)

Yes, at least there will be a somewhat "standard" Linux environment within
Windows for people to work with.

Yep. Wonder what effect that will have on Linux use, given that the barriers
to Linux adoption will have been lowered somewhat - new Linux users could be
familiar with how it works, without actually installing it. :)
