        Maybe we are cross-firing here. In my mind, your problem is at
  the server, ( BBS ), when my problem is in my system and my use of
  BW.

        So we can share ondolences. What I con not achieve here is to
  have BW remember what messages were read and/or replied. It really
  has me baffled as I tried all option changes and still BW will not
  cooperate. But that is inside BW. I say that your problem is at
  wherever you get your mail as I sometimes loose a .qwk and I get
  back to the BBS here and reset my "Last read" message to again D/L a
  new .qwk and have BW work on it.
