At the moment, I develop web infrastructure for a major print/radio media company - a combination of Python/Django and Ruby/Rails, technologically speaking. Even that is somewhat of an 'escape' from the previous decade of Java- centric application development. Generally though, I'm sort after though as a database grokker. And who's to say old-school isn't real life? From my perspective, the world seems pretty unreal without it!
