 NB{at}> happen to both the parents, we were to be getting the kids to
 NB{at}> raise... so we did (and especially I did) put some effort
 NB{at}> into making sure that they knew us a bit better, just in
 NB{at}> case.  :)

 Always a good plan... just in case though hopefully , for both the
kids sake and the parents, that won't have to happen but it would
still be a great plan to be close to them. :)
