Thank you to all that helped.
128M Ram Dos server running novell 4.1.
I took the himem.sys and emm386.exe out of the config.sys file, then I put
"set autoconfigure over 16M to OFF" in the startup.ncf file, then I
registered memory 1000000 7000000 in the autoexec.ncf file.  Rebooted
machine and, whamo, 130M or working space in novell.
