Hm.  I think it was mark lewis who brought up Free Pascal recently in a post. 
Nothing in relation to MinGW though.  Personally the only odd compiler that
interested me lately has been Google Go and only because of all the silly smart
phones that have been rearing their heads around these parts lately.  Last time
I checked, Google claimed that the three top development enviroments for
Android were (in order) Java, Python and Go.  Until mark (I think it was mark)
brought up Pascal I hadn't even thought about it for AGES now, probably not
since the mid 1990's.
