One of the US/Canada SDL's ring patterns (RING B from memory) corresponds precisely with our normal ring, and if the Courier is set to ignore this pattern, the modem won't pick up the line at all, which indicates that as long as Telstra use DR patterns similar to those already coded into the Courier's ROM, it SHOULD discriminate as advertised. As it stands now, when set to answer RING B only, it picks up the line instantly, and reports RING B as its result string. Ergo, the PRESUMPTION is that it works, although as I don't have Distinctive Ring, I'm unable to prove this definitively.
