That's the one I was trying to remember. I haven't heard much about it since
the 64-bit cpu's overtook the 32-bit ones.

If I recall correctly, also coreutils and many, many other handy-dandy gnu et
al apps that have become standard fare on most, if indeed not all, unixie
operating systems. I believe that coreutils apps might be the most used and
useful in this neck of the woods and are part and parcel of many a well used
bash scripts.
