| subject: | Re: ATM Sixtests versus other Foucault analysis programs: kindling wood |
From: "Frank Q" To: , Reply-To: "Frank Q" Hi All I'm sure that Jim's program is a good product, and as you say, Jim did a lot of good work, but, if someone wants to use an alternative method of analysing results, then that someone should be free to use his/her choice without fear of being reprimanded. I write ALL my software for design & analysis on windows and I'm currently starting to move it across to Linux. (The KDE environment will be real interesting !!) I wouldn't know what six-tests was if it jumped up and bit my nose (sorry Jim). The other point worth making is that it is NOT the program that is important but the results - and it doesn't matter what program generated these results. What is important is that the results should be able to be interpreted by anyone and also (if necessary or appropriate) be in such a format that they can be used as input for any other program.
