But you've got to remember that there's memory and then there's memory.  Due 
the the architecture of an MS-DOS machine, it's possible to have multiple 
megabytes of free memory and still run out of "low memory", which is limited 
to something less than 640K on most machines regardless of the total memory 
installed.
