TW>HP and Compaq were running a tight race for LAST Place. :-) :-) I recently bought a Dell. Got it for about a third of what they were priced at prior to Thanksgiving. Its nice, I like it. I can take it with me on Saturdays to work at one of my employers houses, where I'm pretty much just sitting all day, anyway. I have a USB 8 gig drive I keep all Fido archives on, and I download directly onto from where I get packets. That way I can download a packet just before I leave for work, and go through it there. It also has a highspeed InterNet port, and I got a router so I can get on the net with it. I've used it on the net a few times. It works great. I'm real happy with it. Next time I get jury duty I can take it down to the courthouse with me. When I was on jury duty in December, a whole lot of people had laptops with them, and there are wall outlets in the reading rooms. --- *Durango b301 #PE** Origin: Doc's Place BBS Fido Since 1991 docsplace.tzo.com (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 18/200 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 140/1 226/0 236/150 SEEN-BY: 249/303 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 2222/700 2320/100 105 200 2905/0 @PATH: 123/140 500 261/38 633/260 267 |
