The unbelieveable smartness of Time Warner.

For the last umpteen years (Okay, we've been wanting to get it since we
first
moved in) we've been tring to get Cable. We'd call and call but they keeped saying
they needed to build another relay station or something or another. Finnaly about 5
or 6 years ago, Warner got their asses out here and put up all the boxes and put out
the cables; WONDERFUL!!! we call and try to get cable again, but it's the same song
a second time.
Okay, we'll show your asses, we went and got satalite and all was good.
Only
problem was the occasional "black out" when a heavy cloud came
over. Primestar was bought-out by Direct TV, we swiched over and things
were even better because
then it took a REALLY heavy cloud to mess up the reception so we know we're in for
a bad storm if we loose Direct. So we've lived with satalite and dial-up (can't get
DSL, our phone lines won't handle it, however if we lived .5 miles down the road we
could, (same with cable actually)) for the last 5 or 6 years.

....Yes, there is a point to all this pointless babbling.......

Sometime or another here in the last week or so, the company my dad works
for
(and who own the property we live on) desided to start pressing Warner to get cable
out here so we can get the store onto highspeed internet. They said we'll get it in
under a week. WHOOPIE!!!! Store got a contractor who was supposed to come
and install their RoadRunner cable today, and we've got one that was
supposed to
come tommrow evening. NEWS FLASH Despite what centeral office told both
contractors the box that is right outside our backdoor and across the
street isn't
connected. Houses to the left of us get cable, and they somehow routed the cable
so houses to the right of us get cable, but we're somehow left out of the loop by 350
feet (for thoes of you like me who can't get a perseption of feet that's aprox. 117
yards), they suspect that we'll be getting our cable by the end of the week sometime.
