Okay, so I turned on the TV this morning at breakfast but missed the news
and got the Today Show instead.

Don't know if y'all have heard of the latest frivolous bullshit class
action suit or not... some whack job is suing all restaurants on behalf of
obese people
- he says the restaurants are at fault for his clients' condition because the
restaurants serve too much food.

Anyway, there was someone going up against him on the Today Show - this dip
lawyer (or whatever he is) claims there's tons of scientific eveidence to
show that there's too much food being served... it's just never been
published in any
scientific or medical journal, but it's all published on his website. So anyway,
whomever it was going up against him cut into him like a knife through hot
butter. I can't remember the exact wording, but it went something like
this:

"People don't need your litigation because there's this little
invention out called a mirror. Anyone with an IQ higher than room
temperature can look in that
mirror and see they're getting fat, at which point they'll be smart enough
to realize that what they need is a good diet and exercise, and not another
nonsense suit."

Score one for the good guys.


In separate and completely unrelated news, along the lines of "I could rant like
all hell right now but I'm not going to", a New Hampshire kid - and I
say 'kid' because he's still in high school - won an evangelical
competition out in Arizona.
