Hi Bill
 This often means that it is tempered or partially tempered.
You may have problems. I may even just blow up into small pieces when you
try to grind it. Although I've not tried it, I'm told that you can see the
stress with polarized sun glasses and the light reflected from the
windshield of your car. The twilight sky is also highly polarized. If the
sun glasses are not too dark that should work as well. Dwight
