Here's my problem:
We recently upgraded our old 486 workstations running win95 to new Acer
pent
II 266 machines running win95. I use 3Com Etherlink III NICs with the
newest
driver 6.01. When a user goes to shutdown while logged into the network,
the
system will hang on the WAIT WHILE WINDOWS SHUTS DOWN screen for about 3-5
minutes. Sometimes it will shutdown normally, but most of the times it
hangs
for a period of time. Sometimes it will not even shutdown at all. This
only
happens when logged into the network. If I log out, it will shut down fine.
I have consulted ACER, 3com, and searched the Novell & MS knowledgebases.
I
have checked for conflicting IRQs, watchdog conflicts, and even disabled
Client32's autoreconnect. This also occurs when we use Client32 AND the MS
Novell Client.
Has anyone encountered this?
Does anyone have any ideas?
HELP!!!!
