the edge down onto his head, son (who was facing the house and saw what was
coming) jumped back neatly out of the way, Patriarch, who had his back to
the house and was too caught up in the desire to drive the jeep to watch his
back, got nearly the whole load. He blamed me for the whole thing, when, in
fact, I didn't even suggest it. All I did was laugh my fool head off from
the safety of the inside of the living room and say things like "There's
