SM>> Make sure the Usenet meese are muskeg-broke, please?

SH> I think you've touched on the main reason the idea has met with either
SH> no reaction or (in clyde's case) a negative reaction. As I mentioned
SH> in my last message, a gateway can be set up to allow UseNet messages
SH> to be inspected before they are "gated" to the MooseChat
echo. This

Ah! Not unlike a Sergerant-at-arms at the Moose Club; if you don't know
the secret handshake, you can't get in.

SH> On the flip side, some of us might want to consider the possible
SH> reaction to our political satire. While there should not be too much
SH> reaction in an "alt" newsgroup, the posts from
"Saddam" and "Dubya"
SH> may draw a reaction. For all I know, satire of postal workers or even
SH> "Allanys" might offend some people.

The Moose Goddess knows that there is so much satirical material available
in both Canadian and 'Murrican politics that if it were asphalt, and spread
upon the tundra, there would be no place left of a respectable moose to
stand.

Maybe I should not have said that; some developer may get the idea and sell
the idea that living in the Great North is advantageous as there are few,
if any bugs, most of the year. ACK! the very thought of high'rises built
from blocks of snow boggles the mind, and the constant din of snowmobiles
as the inhabitants travel to and from their jobs and the accessories
counter at Canadian Tire...It boggles the mind.

But, I digress! One can never be sure if this fine repository of
moose-bugling will continue to produce the high-value of satire that it has
in the past if one induces serious-minded meese, or meese with a mission,
as it were.

Besides, those bells, every Sunday morning...
