Consider that the current Dealer price for an Austel USR 14400 sportster 

internal fax/modem is $Au53.20 + 19.8% tax, so $63.74 + a little

profit is probably all your DXP596  is worth new, now.  



If you sold your DXP NOW (half new price, as it is after all second hand)

for around $30 then you would have actually only outlayed $1940
