Expectations can be a real problem, to be sure.  And when not met, one
has to figure out which is faulty, the expectation or the realization.

I hear you...     There are times I feel a little wierd being here,
myself... until I remind myself that I was invited here personally... ;)

In any case, being content with (or at least reasonably resigned to)
your situation is a good thing.  If there is a Ms. Right, you won't be
so busy running after all the Ms. Wrongs that you wouldn't have time to
see her appear... :)  And in the meantime, you do save yourself a passel
of grief.  And, of course, hindsight almost always is clearer than fore
or present sight...
