I have a no-frills rockwell 33.6k modem, and when dialing under a Win95
terminal program I can consistently connect to the Banksia BBS (418-7693) -
this is a call from Cronulla (Miranda exchange) to Lane Cove - at 33.6k .
However, when I tried this under Binkley's (v2.59c) terminal program, I only
managed a 31.2k connect.

Now, I'm not all that close to the Miranda exchange - about 6kms, but at least
it shows that 33.6k connects across town aren't all that elusive.

I did the same test on your BBS but only got 31.2k on both occasions :(
