Dieter Rams was one of my favorite industrial designers -- his work with Braun appliances and electronics resonated with me. I still have my Braun Aromaster coffee maker from college. HG> My HiFi gear is all american, with a Harman Kardon 630 I just "inherited" a Harmon Kardon 330B from my mother (she's moving and doesn't have room for it). It was my parents' "HiFi" in the 70s, and from what I've seen is highly sought after because it has a tube sound, although it's all ICs. Old HK stereos from that era just look incredible to me. Keeping on topic, I have a BaoFeng UV-5R and am studying for my license while listening to the aforementioned FM receiver. :) --- SBBSecho 3.00-Win32* Origin: http://realitycheckbbs.org | tomorrow's retro tech (1:218/700) SEEN-BY: 14/5 19/33 75 34/999 90/1 116/18 120/302 123/500 128/187 140/1 SEEN-BY: 218/700 222/2 230/150 240/1120 249/303 250/1 261/38 100 266/404 SEEN-BY: 267/155 280/1027 282/1056 292/907 908 320/119 219 340/400 393/68 SEEN-BY: 396/45 633/0 267 280 281 406 410 640/384 712/620 848 770/1 801/161 SEEN-BY: 801/189 2320/100 105 @PATH: 218/700 261/38 712/848 633/280 267 |
