Hey Nancy!

> And similarly for other somewhat outdated things... :)

I've got quite a few so-called outdated things. None of them have anything
to do with computers though ... unless of course they want to be. Ye ol'
turntable for playing those very large vinyl disks - LPs if I recall
correctly - has been pressed into service every now and then just for fun
as the analogue part of an analogue to digital dealie. One of my neighbours
tried suckering me back into that idea until I told him I'd be happy to
lend it to him so that he could do the work. Haven't heard anything about
it since. However I do have a few tunes digitized now not that I've played
them much since. If the mood ever stikes though they're ready for action.

> personally I've not gotten into text messaging with handhelds,

Same situation here. I've never owned one but I have noticed others usage of theirs.

> Maybe I'm in different circles...?

I am convinced it is me. I lack circles as well as am a reject from that
online matching system due to a lack of 29 dimensions of compatibilty. To
be honest I can't even cite 1 dimension nevermind 29. :::sigh:::

> Yes, that's a good way, too. My trips to GB were mostly family
> and genealogy

A very good reason for travel methinks. The only incentive I would have
for going to London is for Guy Fawkes Day as that happens to be my birthday
and it would be interesting to be in a pub there for that particular day.
Other than that I don't really have a reason and have never been off this
continent.

> other than Canada, which isn't all that foreign!

The exact opposite for me. The USA is the only foriegn country I've ever been to.

> I've had a couple of friends since that were into single malt
> tastings who have exposed me to a few others,

I've run across a few online thingies sort of like that but somehow I doubt
they are the same as what you speak of.

> but I still like the Macallan best and the Glenlivet next best.

Works for me. :-)

Life is good,
Maurice
