JP>There has been no decrease. In fact the membership increased
JP>significantly since the Clinton administration started its attack on
JP>us (armed citizens).
Let the NRA know that. They'll be glad to hear it. Just this last
issue they talked about their decrease in membership. Guess they were
confused.
JP>NP>Your friend is perfectly within his rights to not be a member of
JP>NP>the NRA, to be tired of their money grubbing tactics, to be
JP>NP>completely disgusted with their anti-gun tactics, and afraid of
JP>NP>their willingness to compromise.
JP>If he supported any organization that stuck up for the 2nd, I would
JP>agree.
Oh, one must join a party, private citizenry is bad. 1984 is what, a
bible to you? What the heck is *wrong* with a person disagreeing and
disliking something? I know I personally don't appreciate the NRA
helping so enthusiastically to make it damn near impossible for me to
use a machine gun. I *know* I don't like them laying there not even
telling people to this day about Maryland's lovely gun laws. I *know* I
don't like their *supporting* gun control laws in Colorado. I *know* I
don't like their *supporting* gun control laws in Arkansas.
But then, I'm kinda weird. I don't like gun control. Guess you do.
The NRA sure seems to.
JP>the strange view of NRA. It is obvious that NRA is the most
JP>the effective group since It is target of the anit-gunners wrath,
No, it is *not* obvious that the NRA is the most effective group because
of that, just that it's the largest, and the most popular target. Not
all of us consider something inherently best by virtue of its size.
JP>NP>Perhaps more people like your friend would help the cause, and not
JP>NP>hinder it. For to many people, the NRA is a very dangerous foe of
JP>NP>gun rights.
JP>And I must add, they are misguided.
Perhaps. Or equally perhaps you are instead.
And that's just a thought, not an attack.
