Obviously a catch phrase for something or other to make us feel
deficient... so I tend to not worry about it much...

Birthday fireworks are always fun... but I'm sure they could appreciate
them better than you, being there... you could only hear them, not see
them... ;(    Here, the city often has fireworks on New Year's Eve, as a
city-wide party... I say they're for my BD, since its the next day... :)

I was messaging with a fellow from NZ some time ago, talking about GFD,
but I don't remember now if we were discussing things as they are where
he is, or as they were when he was growing up in GB...
