Russia ¨is a good one to get excited over also. ¨ ¨Power supplies are always a big thing that doesn't get that much attention, ¨if you can, get a linear power supply instead of a switching one. The modern ¨switching ones are smaller, lighter, more efficent and can make a lor of RF ¨noice that will show up as "birdies" though the bands. I'm sure some are ¨better then others.. I have a old Drake PS7 linear power supply, it's huge, ¨33 POUNDS about the size of a breifcase and no RF birdies to interfere. When your on the HT bring up you're looking for a power supply once in a ¨while, somebody might have one they'd be willing to part with. just be sure ¨to test it first and that it can delived the Amps an HF radio needs. I'd ¨recommend 25amps continious. ¨ @NOTE: IceEdit 1.75 [Eval] --- RA2+ FMail* Origin: HoloDeck BBS telnet://kentsoftware.com:2323 London ON (1:229/728) SEEN-BY: 14/5 19/33 75 34/999 90/1 116/18 120/302 123/500 128/187 140/1 SEEN-BY: 218/700 222/2 230/150 240/1120 249/303 250/1 261/38 100 266/404 SEEN-BY: 267/155 280/1027 282/1056 292/907 908 320/119 219 340/400 393/68 SEEN-BY: 396/45 633/0 267 280 281 406 410 640/384 712/620 848 770/1 801/161 SEEN-BY: 801/189 2320/100 105 @PATH: 229/728 426 123/500 261/38 712/848 633/280 267 |
