Disagree: exhaust dilution is a side effect of the steady increase in the
bypass ratio in modern ATP jet engines. The engineers don't give a stuff
about exhaust dilution. All they're interested in is increasing the
thermal efficiency of their engines because that decreases fuel
consumption and hence also reduces operating costs.
