Hi Richard,
I just thought of a different possibility. There is something called
an *.LDI file, that is acting as "program that keeps track of the
install process, as well as NETMAIN.ILS.
Thus, keep selecting slot numbers, and you'll hit upon the right one.
Then, once the install process is finished, you'll have the correct
settings in autoexec.ncf and this setting is simply "setting" not to
be taken literally as it is in a EISA situation.
