Less portable than SMAPI/XMSGAPI. Needs more testing.

Based on SMAPI 2.3 but considerably more portable.

BS> * SMAPI - small msgapi, used by the husky project.

Not as portable as XMSGAPI and is full of unnecessary code.

I have suggested Wesley try linking Squish and Maximus against XMSGAPI at
some stage and doing some tests, but you might like to do that.

cvs -r -z3 -d:pserver:anoncvs{at}blizzard.dnsalias.org:/cvsroot co xmsgapi

I expect there will be some function calls missing from XMSGAPI that
Maximus and/or Squish were expecting, but these should really be added to
Maximus/Squish themselves rather than XMSGAPI. The idea being that I
rewrote XMSGAPI to provide enough functions for an average program to work
that requires just the documented MSGAPI calls and little else.
