Hi all,

I have put a Boot ROM into a network card and trying to get it to
connect to the Novell 3.11 server without success. According to the
instructions I have carried out the following steps:

1. Created a boot disk (with MS-DOS 6.22) and copied all the necessary
files to it. i.e "lsl.com", "pciodi.com", "vlm.exe" and other related
   vlm files.

2. Boot in and login as "supervisor" and executed "dosgen" which created
   a "NET$DOS.SYS" file in the F:\login directory.

3. ran "rplfix net$dos.sys" (required for DOS 5.0 or higher)

4. copied the autoexec.bat from my a: to f:\login.

5. ran "flag srw" to both "net$dos.sys" and "autoexec.bat"

6. with the driver disk that came with the network card, I enabled boot rom.

After I restarted the system, I got the following on screen:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Novell Netware Ready Firmware V1.00 (940810)
(c) Copyright 1991-1994 Novell Inc, All rights Reserved
Realtek 8029 PCI Ethernet MLID V5.10 (950220)
(c) Copyright 1993-1995 Realtek semiconductor Co., Ltd. All rights reserved.

RPL-ROM-ADR: 0040 33A1 3A6E
RPL-ROM-IRQ: 10
RPL-ROM-PIO: B800

RPL-ROM-FFC: 1 (This number counts from 1...5 then repeats again)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Is there anything I missed here? Do I have to load any other nlm files
on the server console?

Please e-mail me with any hints. Many thanks.
