That's why I said it depended on the echo, and the persons there...
there are definitely a number of throwback types still hanging around...
most of those that chase after all the new stuff aren't here any more,
they're off chasing... ;) And even if dialup modems aren't still used
by them, they may well remember enough about them to give helpful
advice. And similarly for other somewhat outdated things... :)

Dunno... personally I've not gotten into text messaging with handhelds,
nor was I doing anything with the 16-bit DOS-think (or at least I wasn't
aware of doing?), as I wasn't into programming... hubby might know
whereof you speak, but not I. How so, scam?

Maybe I'm in different circles...? But I can see where you are coming
from, as there are many people missing now that used to be among the
most helpful ones.

Yes, that's a good way, too. My trips to GB were mostly family and
genealogy... and haven't happened lately. Dunno how many (or if) any
more trips will be in the offing... and it's about the only foreign
country I've been to (other than Canada, which isn't all that foreign!).
I've had a couple of friends since that were into single malt tastings
who have exposed me to a few others, but I still like the Macallan best
and the Glenlivet next best. :)

... I'm clinging to sanity by a thread. Hand me those scissors.
