My mother did that to herself with handfuls of Anacin every day to defeat
the arthritis pain and keep working (at the deli, standing all day.) The
aspirin overload over ten years or so (!!) ate a hole in her stomach, and
by the time we caught it, she'd lost almost all her blood from this
ulcer. (She said she coughed up "coffee grounds"--they said that
was dried
blood and a sign of an ulcer. She claimed her hemorrhoids were bothering
her . . . it actually wasn't just that.) They gave her three units or
whatever it is and she got all right . . . but it was officially branded
CHF, congestive heart failure, and she's on that medication to this
day. He is presenting exactly like her. She got okay, but it was
scary. Three days in the ICU/CCU. Thank goodness for modern medicine.
Prayer wheel spinning even now!
