subject: [VOICENWS] SW: DFSee 14.7 released

++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service   http://www.os2voice.org ++

From: jvwDESPAM{at}DESPAMdfsee.com

DFSee version 14.7 has been released.

MINOR release, meaning you get it for FREE if you have a 14.x key already.
However, thare are some nice new features and some bug fixes in there!

 - Identification of, and protection of UNKnown, enCRyPted and LargeFloPpy disks

 - The OS/2 version now can be updated from the web using the Help menu (Get ...)
 (requires a functioning WGET utility to be present)

 - Linux and macOS screen handling has been enhanced to allow screens up to 768
 characters wide, and the colors have been tuned further for readability

 - Keyboard in Linux and macOS has been enhanced with Ctrl-Arrows and Shift-Fkeys

 - HEX editor update for large screens and using 4K object size by default

 - the Linux bootable USB stick DFSee-PUPPY has been updated to 14.7 too

 See the screenshots and additional info at:

 http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/cdrom#usb

 Note: existing users of the PUPPY stick can update directly using the menu:

 Help->
 Program Updates / Downloads ->
 Get latest STABLE update

 (Will work with the regular Linux and macOS versions too, if WGET is there)

DFSee is a very powerful disk-utility with disk partitioning,
smart imaging or cloning of partitions or complete disks,
filesystem and disk analysis, directory/file browsing with
edit/view/copy capabilities including limited UNDELETE.
