Some QWK setups are unstable, It's a problem at the BBS end. There's
nothing much you can do (other than uploading reps sooner). and little the
sysop can do (except trying to avoiding causing his qwk setup from
rearranging the message area numbers).

UItimately the fault lies with the programmer who designed the QWK interface
for the bbs and didn't set it up to make the area numbers which QWK uses persist.
