I didn't say "I" had a 10k system, but many true audio die-hards do put
as much time and effort into there home system than a car system.  While
it isn't judged in a competition, you can do a lot of comparing and
contrasting between systems, and determine where yours stands.  Even if
car systems weren't judged, I'm sure a lot of people would put just as
much time and effort into them.
