We *did* have taxes before 1930, however. But I didn't ask you how we
survived before the thirties. I asked you two basic questions, neither
one of which you answered.
1) Given that you want *all* rights to be turned over to the states,
does this mean you want the central government in the US to cease to
exist, creating 50+ small nations?
2) If you want the USA, as a nation to continue to exist, how would you
create a system whereby it continued to exist even in the absence of any
real power? And, if all the rights had been turned over to the states,
it would have no real power.
3) A third, and additional, question: Did you perhaps overstate your
position a couple of posts ago when you said you wanted *all* rights to
be turned over to the states? If you did overstate your postion, what
specific rights do you want the states to have, and what specific rights
do you want the federal government to have?
