Right.  This is more a diagnostic step.  You could also try the ftp manually
and see what happens.  At the point where it "hangs" is the machine locked up?
Try pressing the scroll-lock key to see if the light comes on...try pressing
the escape key.  If this takes you back to the net> prompt, try the asystat
command and take a look at the memory info.  Check also for 'hw over' and 'sw
over' values greater than 0.
