VM> JPH> Victoria, which Trek books are your favorites?
VM>My top ten picks (in no real order):
VM>"The Wounded Sky" - Diane Duane
I liked this one. If was one of my first Trek books, and one of
the first that twisted my brains around.
No mention of "My Enemy My Ally" or "Spock's World?"
VM>"Rules of Engagement" - Peter Morwood
Hmmm. Been a while. I don't even remember this one clearly.
VM>"The Galactic Whirlpool" - David Gerrold
Another one of my personal favorites. Notice how David Gerrold
used several elements he mentioned in "The World of Star Trek" as ways
to improve Star Trek (A discrete away team or the Captain not
beaming down for instance)
Some of these elements actually appeared later in ST:TNG
VM>"Vendetta" - Peter David
I liked this one. A much scarier second Borg attack than in
First Contact...
VM>"How Much for Just The Planet?" - John Ford
A lovely book. No mention of "The Final Reflection"?
VM>"Prime directive" - Judith and Garfiled Reeves-Stevens
I liked "Federation" better...
VM>"The Entropy Effect" - Vonda McIntyre
The first of Pocket's Trek Books. I liked it a lot, too. It
set a standard for the genre. This was before Paramount outlawed most
fun things you could do with the crew...
VM>"Q Squared" - Peter David
I like this one better than "Q-in-Law".
VM>"The Kobayashi Maru" - Julia Ecklar
This was an excellent book. Nice character development.
VM>"The Romulan Way" - Duane & Morwood
I liked some of the elements in this book. I like "Spock's
World" better.
VM>Victoria Aeron Mackey
Some times sort of arch, but always posts intelligently...OOPS,
sorry.
