Try deleteing the locked file.  If your file name is Robert.dwg and file 
locking is set to "1", Autocad will create a file called Robert.dwk . This 
prevents another person opening and editing the same drawing.  If you are a 
stand-alone station, you might have exited the drawing in un-acceptable way 
(i.e. - crash) and the locked file was never removed, as it normally is.  See 
if that helps.
