Hmmm... I see. Since I've been using the offline reader for as long as I've been actively messaging, I've never done it any differently. The Bluewave reader reads both BW and QWK packets (and replies as well to both), so it's all I've needed no matter what the software was, as long as there was some sort of QWK or BW offline door on the bbs. The only trouble I had, at the beginning of my telnet experience, was when Zmodem transfers didn't work for uploads (since I'm strictly DOS)... that's been long since solved, and so that's not a problem any more (and that would have precluded my uploading previously composed text as well). I'd think that Janis has some sort of offline door that would have at least QWK packets... maybe you should ask her? > So if you wanted to track them down for a current event, you > probably could do so. :) MK> As long as they advertise it somewhere on the internet where the MK> Google bot can find it, yes. Usually it takes about a week before the MK> bot finds it I've noticed. I imagine if the proper palms were greased MK> things would happen faster. Probably wouldn't hurt... ;) No, I was just thinking that the after the fact stuff might have some sort of contact information in the article, like an email address or a a website that one could go directly to to find out about upcoming events... :) ttyl neb ...
